Welcome spring sports 2024

Spring has sprung and spring sports have begun! Tryouts have officially ended and teams have been posted throughout all sports.

Broomfield girls soccer is holding 23 players on their varsity roster and plays their first game March 7th against Cheyenne Mountain at Broomfield High School at 6:30.

Broomfield boys baseball is also holding 23 players on the varsity team. First game will be played at Silver Creek High School at 4:00 against Silver Creek March 7th. They will also be playing at Coors Field on March 15th at 1:00 against Arapahoe High School for a foundation game.

Broomfield girls tennis will have three singles players and four doubles teams on their varsity team. The first match will be played against Rocky Mountain at Rocky Mountain at 4:00 on March 5th.

Broomfield girls golf is holding 11 players on their roster and recently had their first tournament at Broadlands Course hosted by Legacy High School. They placed 3rd in the Front Range League. The next tournament will be played at Eagle Trace on Saturday, March 16th. This tournament is named Chilly Chili Invite hosted by Broomfield High School.

Track and field is holding 192 people on their team this year. The varsity and jv roster will be fluid throughout the season, and varsity will consist of the top 30 weekly. The first meet will be this Saturday, March 9th, hosted by Boulder and Monarch High School at Centaurus High School.

Kaia Weingardt is a senior at Broomfield High School and a first year member of the Eagle Way News. Kaia plans to continue her academics at ASU or U of A in the fall, majoring in Sports Journalism and Business. She has enjoyed playing club softball since a young age and has continued playing in high school. Outside of school, Kaia skis in the winter time and loves to hang out with friends.
