Remington ’24 has had a long-term appreciation for music and musical instruments and has experience in both in-school events and out-of-school activities. As an avid supporter for the arts here at BHS, Adam encourages students to show their support and get involved with Broomfield visual and musical artistic events.
Q:What instrument do you play?
A: “I mainly play the euphonium but I also play the trombone, piano, and marimba.”
Q:When did you first fall in love with music and what’s your history with band?
A: “I’ve been playing music for as long as I can remember but I don’t think I fell in love with it until I hit high school because that’s when it became a priority in my life. It became a priority in my life because that was when I realized how music could support me socially, emotionally, and creatively. I have been a part of the Broomfield marching band, concert band, jazz band, pep band, Winter Percussion, and pit for the musical.”
Q: Why did you join band?
A:“I joined band because I love music and playing music.”
Q: Why do you stay in band?
A: “I stayed in band because I love being a part of the community, doing activities with my friends, and having the creative outlet band offers.”
Q:Do you plan on continuing music after high school?
A: “Yes, I definitely want to continue playing music in college and even beyond.”
Q:What instrument do you play in winter percussion?
A: “I play marimba.”
Q:When did you join Winter Percussion?
A: “I joined Winter Percussion in my junior year.”
Q: Why do you stay in Winter Percussion?
A: “I stayed because Winter Percussion is a group where you can really connect with not only others in your ensemble but also with yourself. I was also able to develop new skills in percussion and become a better musician.”
