For the eighth year, Student Council is selling roses for Valentine’s Day. An annual tradition, they are aiming to spread the love around Broomfield High. Sales are happening this week only(February 6th-9th) during both lunches in the atrium. Roses are one for two dollars and three for five dollars. They will be delivered next week on Tuesday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day) during fifth period, so when purchasing roses make sure to know the recipient’s fifth period class and teacher.

Although Valentine’s Day has a stigma around couples, the rose distribution is the perfect opportunity to show anyone in your life that you care about them. Students Council Co-President Ana Horvath agrees: “It’s a really sweet way to show you love your friends and the special people in your life.” For such a small price, it is an impactful gesture. Whether it’s for a best friend, a girlfriend or boyfriend, or even someone completely random, now is the time to show them they are loved! A rose is a simple way to brighten someone’s day and remind them they are not alone on a day that can feel so lonely. This week, support student council and spread the love at Broomfield through the rose sales!
