Maddie Jackson is a senior at Broomfield High School and a first-year member of The Eagle Way News. Although this is her first year, she has been a Blue Crew member for the past two years. For the first three years of high school, she was a part of the varsity track team as a hurdler. Being an active high school student, one of Jackson’s favorite hobbies is going to the gym and lifting weights. Some other things that she enjoys doing in her free time include, driving to Boulder, hiking, enjoying the shops on Pearl St. with her friends, getting fast food, and tanning on hot summer days. She describes her high school experience to be busy, fun, and memorable due to the football and volleyball games and her homecoming dance experience. Jackson joined Newspaper because of peer recommendations, a love for writing, and to be more involved in school for her last year of high school. Being the oldest sibling in a family of four children, Jackson has been a natural caretaker, not because she is obligated to, but because she is passionate about helping others. After graduation, she hopes to be accepted into CU Boulder to major in nursing or elementary education.
