Vilate Carwin, Video Editor
Vilate Carwin is a Senior at Broomfield High and a fourth year member of the Eagle Way. She hopes to improve her video editing skills and create exciting features for the news. At home she has five brothers and four step-siblings. Along with her multitude of siblings her favorite member of her family is her dog Sunny. When she is not playing with Sunny, Vilate is either hanging out with friends, or running. She has always been a runner and is excited to continue her passion of running on the varsity girls cross country team and distance track team. She hopes to make newspaper great this year!

Grace Coleman, Video Editor
Grace Coleman is a Senior at Broomfield High School. She is a fourth-year member of the Eagle Way News and hopes to improve her video features, and editing this year. At home, she has three sisters and one brother. Her favorite sibling is her dog, an 11-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Max, who unfortunately still cannot learn to jump. Grace enjoys spending time with her friends and attending school activities in her free time. In addition to this, she also likes to crochet and go for drives while listening to music. Grace is super excited for her fourth year at the Eagle Way and hopes to make it great!
Kendra Runyon, Staff
Kendra Runyon is a junior at Broomfield High School and a first year member of Eagle Way News. She is a student athlete and plays volleyball, soccer, and track for Broomfield High School. She is most excited to learn how to interview and edit for the weekly news. Even though she is a junior she strives to continue her athletic and academic career by playing college volleyball out of state.
Cole Sonnesyn, Staff
Cole Sonnesyn is a senior at Broomfield High School. He is doing his first year of Eagle Way. He is also a basketball player at Broomfield High School. He enjoys working out and hanging out with his friends and family in his free time. He is excited but also nervous about senior year.
Jack Wadlington, Staff
Jack Wadlington is a senior at Broomfield High School and is entering his second year in the Eagle Way News. Jack lives in the Westminster area with his two parents, three younger siblings and three French Bulldogs. Jack also competes on the Varsity Basketball team and is looking forward to an exciting final season. Jack wants to continue his Basketball career at the collegiate level and look into Broadcast/Journalism majors. Jack enjoys writing and talking about sports and is thrilled to do both in the newspaper and news portions in the Eagle Way this school year.

Ryder Pierce, Staff
Ryder Pierce is a senior at Broomfield High School and a second-year member of the Eagle Way News. Ryder has played singles tennis for the BHS tennis team since he was a freshman and as a senior is looking at schools to play college tennis at. Ryder is interested in broadcasting to get to know how broadcasting and sports can go together. Some of Ryder’s favorite things to do are bolfing with friends, playing volleyball, and watching sports. He enjoys broadcasting and interviewing people and enjoys anything to do with sports-related news.
Will Lapham, Staff
Will Lapham is a senior and is enrolled in the Eagle Way for the first year. Will loves to play basketball and workout in his free time. He plays on the Broomfield basketball team. He said, “ My goal this year is to help the team reach the sweet 16, to play in the coliseum”. As for his continuation of school he is looking to play basketball in college, hoping to get some sort of scholarship.
Radhika Malkan, Staff
Radhika Malkan is a senior at Broomfield High School. She is a first year student at the Eagle Way News. She enjoys outdoor activities and hanging out with her family and friends. This year Radhika was able to help the new freshman at BHS in Blue Crew. Her goals for this class is to write compelling and interesting stories and to improve her editing skills.
Ridhima Malkan, Staff
Ridhima Malkan is a senior this year at Broomfield High School. She is a first year student at the Eagle Way News. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and spending time outdoors. This year Ridhima is a part of Blue Crew at Broomfield High School. This year her goal in this class is to improve her writing skills as well as her video editing skills.

Mariah Wilson, Staff Journalist
Mariah Wilson is a sophomore at Broomfield high school, she’s currently in her second year of broadcast journalism. She is passionate about storytelling, media production and giving her voice to her school through reporting. Beyond journalism Wilson is extremely dedicated to exploring topics on social issues, academics, writing and multimedia editing. She has tons of experience with public speaking and creative writing. In addition to Journalism, Wilson is interested in leadership opportunities, building strong foundations, and valuing teamwork. She hopes to pursue opportunities in communication, social advocacy, and media in the future.

Dhayra J Cazares, Staff Journalist
This is Dhayra Cazares second year on Staff of The Eagle Way, and her main interest is working with other people and learning about others while producing entertaining videos. Outside of Journalism class, Cazares’s favorite activity is playing soccer with friends. Her favorite subjects are LA and science. Cazares really enjoys going out shopping, going to Chick-Fil-A and wendys, and running. A quote Cazares loves is “The pain you are feeling now cannot compare to the pain that is coming” Roman 8:18.

Lauren Hernandez, Editor-In-Cheif
Lauren Hernandez is a sophomore student-athlete at Broomfield High School. This is her second year playing for the eagles. She has always loved writing and is excited to carry that into her first year on the Eagle Way News. Lauren is very family oriented and is always surrounded by her friends and family. Her favorite things include playing softball, listening to music, watching pro sports games, and traveling. She grew up traveling around watching her two older sisters playing sports. She can talk all day about softball and her two dogs, Koko and Rio. She is looking forward to being a part of the news team this year!
