The Time Has Come To Fight For Our Safety

Are You Ready to Fight For More Strict Gun Laws?

Kaleb Oakley, Staff Leader

Organized by “Students Demand Action For Gun Sense In America,” on Wednesday, April 5th, at noon, students in schools across the nation will leave class and head to local parks to protest the lack of gun laws passed by our government.

Broomfield students will meet at the Broomfield Community Park (near the public library). There, students will speak freely about gun laws as long as they are respectful.

This protest is for the lack of reaction to the 125 mass shooting this year. Students are encouraged by “Students Demand Action For Gun Sense In America” to tell those in power we won’t accept our right to education as lesser than the right to own assault rifles or other deadly firearms.

For any real change to occur, there must come a time when people stand up to those in power. That time is coming for the students.

Note: this is not school-supported and, as such, 4th and 6th periods will not be excused.
