On Saturday Jan 28, many swimmers on the girl’s swim and dive team swam in their last meet of the season at Mountain View High School. The meet was the Front Range League (FRL) “B” level championship. The “B” level championship meet is for everyone who does not make the FRL “A” cuts.

The girls had awesome swims, with many getting personal records or even getting new cuts for the “A” meet or state. Broomfield landed 5th place out of 13 teams, beating Legacy (6th place) by 6 points.

The girls’s coach, Emily Austin, was so proud of how the meet went for the team. “We had so many great swims & huge lifetime or season best swims at the FRL “B” Championship meet yesterday- I’m really proud of these girls!” she remarked on the 29th.
.

For all of the girls, this meet was a phenomenal way to end the season. Anyone watching could tell that the team gave it their all, the swimmers in their tech suits, and the girls on the side who were all decked out in blue tutus, cowboy hats, and Broomfield merch galore.

The rest of the team will be having the FRL “A” meet on Friday and Saturday.
