Regional Volleyball Game This Weekend

Hampton Traylor, Staff Writer

This Saturday, November 9th, 2019, the girl’s varsity volleyball team will be hosting regionals for the first time in a decade.

After finishing the 2019 season with an overall record of 22-1 and finishing 5th in the state, this is the first time in a decade that Broomfield High School will host regionals.

This season, the team finished with an RPI (rating percentage index) of 0.673425. RPI is what is used to rank sports teams based on the team’s wins and losses and its strength of schedule. A big increase from last season, when the team went 11-12 overall with an RPI of 0.490874, coming in 36th place in the state.

In the past, the team qualified for state 3 times, but has yet to win a title.

Be sure to come to support the team this Saturday at Broomfield High School in the Eagle Gym at 9 am. The first 40 students to come will get in for free and get a free donut. The theme is whiteout, don’t miss it!
