Broomfield High FBLA Hosts “Paws in the Park”
April 5, 2018
This past Saturday, FBLA hosted their fourth annual Paws in the Park event. The event consisted of a doggie easter egg hunt, and a bonnet parade where owners dress up their dogs. Usually Camp Bow Wow, a dog training program in Broomfield, takes part in the event, but they closed in 2014. Therefore, the responsibilities of the event were transferred to the students of Broomfield High FBLA Chapter. In previous years, the county provided both the supplies and promoted the event, yet kept all of the the money that came out of the event. This year though, the county decided to provide supplies and promote the event, but allowed the FBLA chapter to keep all of the proceeds to help fund expenses for state and FBLA events happening next school year for the club. The event was filled with tons of fun competition, and of course lots of adorable puppies. The competition was stiff this year, but the annual bonnet parade winner was Zoomer, and her owner, Benny Lammers.
