Eion Frakes entered a whole new atmosphere starting his junior year at Broomfield High School. Moving from a small school of only four hundred students in Illinois to Broomfield in the middle of his high school career was a difficult change for Eion. However, he had an easy transition thanks to both the band and football team. Eion gets all the support he needs to balance school, football, and the marching band.

Eion said, 44“My family is all about football, I was the first to pick up band. I started playing the Alto Saxophone in sixth grade then switched to the Tenor Saxophone the start of my freshman year. I continued to play football even though my new found hobby was very time consuming. I love doing football and band, despite the conflicting schedules dual participation is not hard. It’s fun, you can mix up both activities. I have more friends which is an awesome thing most transfer students cannot say. I’ve been trying to bring the football team and band together so they don’t hate each other as much. I am very excited to see what the band and the football team accomplish this year I am blessed to be able to call both groups my family. Go Eagles!”
