For Momma

Your laughter and smile

Oh Momma, won’t you stay for a while?

I must confess

You’ve always done your very best

No one’s done this like you before

There’s no way I can possibly love you more

You always support me

No matter how odd my ideas may seem

But know when I find my wings and fly

Everything you want is yours, I’ll buy

I’ll be grown and I’ll move away

But I’ll always be back for dinner every sunday

I’m stubborn and arrogant so we sometimes fight’

Still you’ve always raised and treated me just right

What’s in my heart are words from you

That’s still true when I come home a quarter after two

You gave me my heart and passion

My eye and sense of fashion

For everything in my life, you’re the one to thank

Your love is worth more than everything in the bank

I write this with explanation, no comma

I love ya Momma
