With Fall sports wrapping up, Broomfield is hoping to make the playoffs in a few sports like football, volleyball, and soccer (and gymnastics).
Let’s give a major shoutout to softball for making it to the state semi finals. They played Riverdale and lost in a close 9-8 game. Riverdale then defeated Cherokee Trail 8-4 in the championship game. Congratulations to the team on an awesome season.
Boys football just got a big win to secure the number-one spot, beating the Riverdale Ravens 22-13. The Eagles have one more game left on Friday 11/01. It’s an away game against Skyline. It should be an easy win. Broomfield already clinched playoffs and hope to make a dep run to the state championship.
Girls volleyball took a hard loss against Mead last week. They play Centaurus on Tuesday. A win against the Warriors will put us in regionals. For regionals if the Eagles win both their games, they then move onto the state tournament.
Boys soccer finished their regular season, with a win against Monarch 6-1. They will face off against Castle View for their first playoff game on Wednesday 10/30. Broomfield is the 3 seed going into the state tournament. Hopefully, they can pull off the back-to-back state championship.
