Currently, many clubs are looking for new members to join. Some of these clubs include Mock Trial, Engineering, Diversify Our Narrative, and Key Club. There are many, many, more. Those are just some of the clubs that are currently accepting new members (although several clubs accept members at any time).
Every club at BrHS is different. To learn more about some of these clubs, there are feature articles on the Eagle Way News.
If you have a busy schedule, consider joining Diversify Our Narrative. They meet every Sunday at noon virtually, and if participants attend, the time can count for community service hours. If not, members are encouraged to check in with advisors and/or fellow students.
If you are searching for something that requires more commitment, consider joining the Engineering Club. Members of the club participate in numerous competitions throughout the school year, and the club meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school.
Similarly, Mock Trial works all year towards one large regional competition, and it meets every Wednesday after tutor time. Joining Mock Trial is a great way to improve one’s public speaking skills.
If attending an after-school club isn’t possible for you, consider attending a club before school, such as Key Club. They meet every Friday morning at eight a.m. and do everything from selling Crumble Cookies to cleaning up around the school and pulling weeds in the courtyard. All of these activities can help students to gather community service hours as well.
Of course, there are many, many, more clubs at BrHS. These are just a few examples of how you can get involved, make new friends, and have a great school year.
