The hallways are her runway for a fashion show
Eagle of Broomfield: Ella Livesay
October 7, 2022
Ella Livesay (‘23) is known for her bubbly personality and her spontaneous style. Livesay pulls her style from gothic influences with a side of pop culture. On top of that, her biggest influence is David Bowie, she even dyed her hair red to match his. Following in the footsteps of her idol, Bowie, she is the lead singer in a rock band through the School of Rock. “I am in their guardians of the galaxy band. I told a bunch of eight-year-olds that I would paint myself green for it, so now I have to do that,” said Livesay.
Although, music isn’t the only thing she is passionate about. Livesay completed a course through boulder tech to become an esthetician. The esthetics program entails learning the skills of facial and skin care, massage, make-up, and hair removal. If you need some helpful tips to improve your skincare routine–ask Ella!
In the next coming years, Livesay sees herself back in the classroom teaching kindergarten. “I used to be a teacher’s assistant at Aspen Creek with their kindergarten class,” Livesay said. This inspired her to become a real teacher someday. If she doesn’t pursue a career in education, she is also interested in attending the Colorado School of Mines for engineering.
Livesay is an avid member of the engineering club. Broomfield’s engineering club focuses on learning about all different fields of engineering and different skills related to engineering and science. She is one of the officers of the club so her job is to be able to help and welcome new people.
The engineering club sponsor and Broomfield science teacher, Susan Dykstra, described her as incredibly creative and insightful. “Part of that creativity comes across through her attire and makeup, she’s always trying different things. I think it’s incredible that she’s brave enough about all the things that she tries with her clothing, makeup and nails” said Dykstra.
With her curly red hair and high-heeled shoes, Livesay is a proud Eagle through and through. Representing her school through the engineering club and participating in statewide competitions she is happy to support her school. Although, if given a magic wand to change anything about the school, Livesay said she would “change the schedule. I would get rid of the advisory completely because I’m a senior, so why do I need it? I would also change the block days, instead of Tuesday – Wednesday block days I would change it back to Wednesday – Thursday.”
