The Eagles of Broomfield – Anna Griffis
February 20, 2018
“After school a friend of mine picked me up and we went down to Denver. A week before, I had asked my dad if I could go to a concert on Wednesday and he said no, but my friend still came and picked me up and we went down to the Ogden Theater. When we got there, the line wasn’t too long, which was nice, but it was so cold and we still had an hour till the doors opened. That part wasn’t fun. As soon as we got inside, it was a lot warmer. The doors opened at six instead of eight so no one would freeze to death. Then we had to wait three hours inside before the concert started. While we were in the theater, some people started airdropping things to our iPhones and it was weird. When we first got there, we had pretty good seats like in the fifth or sixth row, but as soon as the concert started, someone tried to start a mosh pit as well as this really tall guy who was using my friend and I as armrests while he was recording. We moved to the outside and still got bad seats, but the concert was so much fun and afterwards we went to Wendy’s and had a bunch of food. Then I went home and got up for school the next day, which was surprising. Overall it was a fun night and my dad never found out I went to the concert.”
