The Eagles of Broomfield – Ryan Daly

“No, I’ve never broken a bone. Sometimes I get cuts and bruises, but no broken bones. Like one time, in fifth period, I was trying to do a spin during the elephant game and I fell down. The elephant game is when I point at you and I make the trunk, the person to the left and right of you make the ears–
Oh, and one time when skiing I fell down on my bottom when I was getting off a lift, but I didn’t get too hurt because, well, it has a lot of padding in it… don’t mention that. But my bottom has a lot of padding because I wore protection. I wear it while I’m skiing. My ski pants are very padded. I ski in Eldora which is in the mountains, and I ski there most frequently. I go skiing with my family–
I call this walk the Tamatoa Walk [see below], because he is a crab, and crabs walk like that.
I started skiing in 7th grade, skied in 8th grade and 9th grade, and I’m going to ski 10th grade, maybe even 11th and 12th grade.
Skiing is my favorite winter sport along with basketball. Oh, I was in unified basketball, and I maybe will play this year. My team won all four games and my favorite game was the last one against Boulder when Broomfield scored 70. I scored at least one basket. I like soccer, too, and I also like flag football.”
