“I used to play sports, but I tore my knee twice. We were scrimmaging a guy’s team in soccer and some guy took me out. It was at practice before state cup during my eighth grade year. It just keeps [tearing]. I have to do physical therapy to like get it back to where it should be and I have to get surgery again. Right now I have to do physical therapy for six weeks, but after surgery it will be nine months. In eighth grade I was really depressed because soccer is my life and I had to go through medication and stuff, so it’s just been hard because I can’t do anything.”
