BHS Homecoming Spirit Week: Recap

Aisley McConnell, Staff Writer

It is a tradition to have themed days the week before homecoming. We have a competition called The Battle of Broomfield where the freshmen and juniors team up against the sophomores and seniors to see who has the most school spirit.

BHS day was the day everyone got to wear their blue and white. The Eagles wore all their BHS attire. Jacob Hahn (11) and Armando Ocampo (11) supported their school this day by wearing pom-poms, a state champion shirt and painting their faces with blue and white.

Student Council worked incredibly hard to make homecoming fun for their Eagles. The theme was Viva Las Vegas. The dance took place at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on October 3rd. StuCo was there all day decorating the stadium in black, white, and red streamers. With huge dice everywhere and a Welcome to Vegas sign the dance had a laidback casino look. Students could dance the night away, sit in the stadium chairs with their friends, or even play roulette based on a casino game. The night ended with the song “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. Everyone made a giant circle on the dance floor where they sang, danced, and had a good time.
