Graduation is approaching fast. With graduation comes mixed feelings. Excitement, sadness and fear. The senior Class of 2017 has had some rough times over the last 4 years. After losing a classmate to sudden death sophomore year the Class of 2017 became closer. The last 4 years have impacted our lives in ways we can never truly understand. No matter how you felt about high school, if you hated it or if you loved it,  at the end of the day we did it together. When a chapter of our lives comes to an end, we tend to look back on how things worked out. This last month of school is the perfect time for us to reflect on the last 4 years.

We think about the decisions we made, whether good or bad, and how they will affect us for the rest of our lives. What we could have done differently and what we will do differently in the future. We are growing up, some of us quicker than we’d like, and others not fast enough. But graduation is coming in a blink of an eye and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. Looking back on my 4 years of high school I wish I did somethings differently. I wish I would have not taken the opportunities I had for granted. But I’m also proud of what I have accomplished. I’m thankful for the teachers, students and some of my family who have supported and believed in me. After being told that I would end up getting pregnant at 18 like my mom, I proved them wrong. Regardless of how our high school experience was, I think we should all treat high school as a lesson and learn from it.

As we all head our own separate way we should all remember that high school was a chapter in our lives. It’s a chapter in our lives that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
